GM brings in former Microsoft CFO as finance chief

General Motors has appointed Microsoft's former CFO Chris Liddell into the same role.

Liddell takes over from Ray Young, who moved to VP international operations at GM two weeks ago, reported The Times.

Young led the company through its bankruptcy during the summer.

Liddell joined Microsoft in 2005 from International Paper.
