Jon Moulton has quit Alchemy Partners, the buyout firm he co-founded more than a decade ago.
Moulton is leaving more than a year earlier than planned after a reported falling-out with another senior figure at the private equity company.
He was originally due to leave the mid-market firm next October.
The qualified chartered accountant is famed for his outspoken views which have included taking a swipe at the acountancy profession.
