Current UK finance director Jamie Hewitt will take his place, and the pair will work closely together on a handover.

Lord Saatchi said Wales had made an enormous contribution to the business over the last 15 years.

“His commitment and endeavour have helped shape the company into its position today as the world's largest independent advertising network. I would like to express my own thanks, along with those of the rest of the board, for Jerry's outstanding commitment and we wish him well for the future,” said Lord Saatchi.
