Deloitte to merge with Scott Rankin & Gardiner

Deloitte & Touche in Canada has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ottawa-based Scott Rankin & Gardiner to merge the two firms.

Charles Perron, Deloitte managing partner in Ottawa, said the business combination of the two firms would strengthen their ability to offer a broader range of business services and access to an enhanced network of professionals, according to Consultant-News.com.

Scott Rankin & Gardiner, which employs about 30 partners and staff, has been advising owner-managed enterprises, non-profit organisations and individuals since 1983.

‘Deloitte is committed to helping private companies succeed. Their values and culture are a good match with ours. We are excited about the potential of joining forces with Deloitte,’ Doug Rankin, managing partner, Scott Rankin & Gardiner, said.
