TS HAS SEEN some ropey old ‘music videos' from the Big Four in its time - which we've always put down to them trying to take advantage of some convoluted tax avoidance scheme (that's films: Ed) - but the wannabe One Direction numbercrunchers at north-west firm Cassons have really taken the biscuit.

Their four and a half minute epic, based (very) loosely on Bonnie Tyler's 80s epic ‘I need a Hero' is funny, and shows a disturbing amount of production value. TS can only hope that music vid budget hasn't eaten into their Xmas party funds.

In this paper, Professor Peter Horvath and Dr Ralf Sauter present what's wrong with the current approach to budgeting and how to fix it.
