TS ENJOYED a top-secret meeting with Gareth Davies yesterday. A big name in public audit, he is the brains behind employee-owned enterprise DA Partnership, soon to spin out of the doomed Audit Commission.
Davies was politely tight-lipped on what could become a major player in the fiercely competitive audit market, refusing to give TS any of the juicy details upon which we normally thrive.
Even the location of DA Partnership was a closely guarded secret. This could be because it's sharing offices with an undisclosed financial backer, but TS prefers to assume it's the bat cave.
