Ling wins interim FD role at Amec

Amec puts financial controller in charge while the search for a new FD continues

Written by David Jetuah

AMEC's financial controller has been promoted to interim FD, the company has said.

The move has been made as a stopgap measure after the resignation of FD Stuart Siddall, which AMEC announced on 17 March 2008.

In its interim management statement, the engineering company said: 'The process to appoint [Siddall's] successor is underway and Grant Ling, currently group financial controller, will act as interim finance director until the process is completed.'

Siddall will step down from the board following the company's AGM on 14 May 2008 before leaving the company at the end of the month.
