Craig Bell leaves Premium Bars & Restaurants to remain close to his family in Newcastle

Written by Kevin Reed

Premium Bars & Restaurants has lost its FD because he did not want to relocate with the business to Manchester.

Group FD Craig Bell, who joined the company in 2001, has decided to leave the company as his family is based in the north-east. He will stay on for a few months to help hand over his role.

The search for a replacement is 'well under way', the company said in a statement.

'I would like to take this opportunity to thank Craig for the contribution he has made over the past seven years as the Company has both grown and evolved. We wish him all the best for the future,' said executive chairman Mark Jones.

'The decision to move PBR's head office to Manchester reflects our greatly changed focus to a national premium bar and restaurant operator - a strategy which we believe will deliver long term sustainable growth.'
