The FD of the world famous Guggenheim museum in Spain has been turfed out for dipping into the company coffers to the tune of nearly €500000.

Guggenheim Bilbao said Roberto Cearsolo Barrenetxea had been sacked for 'financial and accounting irregularities,' after an internal audit uncovered his crimes.

After confessing to frauds dating back to 1998 Barrentxea agreed to pay back €486,979.38 euros. He has already paid back €287,000 and promised to return the balance within three months.
