Written by Nicholas Neveling

Deloitte has recruited former government minister Lord Warner to join its public sector practice as a strategic adviser.

The appointment of Lord Warner, who served a minister of state reform in the Department of Health, is the latest in a string of appointments of high-profile public sector figures at Deloitte.

Former permanent secretary to the Department of Culture, Dame Sue Street, works on the Deloitte public sector team, the FSA's former accounting regulator Kari Hale works for Deloitte as does Nick Prior, former head of the Ministry of Defence's private finance unit.

Sir Digby Jones, a former CBI director-general, also had a spell at the firm before becoming trade minister.
