Baker Tilly has made three senior appointments at its Edinburgh Quay office

Baker Tilly has made three senior appointments at its Edinburgh Quay office in an effort to build on last year's merger with Bruntsfield-based Scott & Paterson and the acquisition of Lanarkshire-based James Lockhart & Co.

VAT veteran Jim Burberry joins from PricewaterhouseCoopers as a partner in the firm's tax team and Andy Baker has been promoted to partner in the corporate finance department, The Scotsman reports.

In addition, the firm has appointed Sheila Low, who claims a long career in venture capital, investment management and corporate finance, a business development director.

Bill Davidson, managing partner said 2007 was a transformational year for Baker Tilly.
