Financial Times's finance director Scott Henderson has shrugged off the threat of Rupert Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal.
Talking to Accountancy Age's sister publication Financial Director, Henderson said that although the WSJ was 'given away' in Europe, FT readers were not worried about saving 'a pound here or there'.
'…They buy the paper because they need the analysis to help them make better decisions,' said Henderson.
Murdoch recently appointed one of his most trusted members of staff, Les Hinton, as chief of the WSJ – a move interpreted as intent to take on the FT.
