Livingstone loses temper over LDA questioning

The London assembly was dramatically suspended yesterday when London mayor Livingstone lost his temper

Written by AccountancyAge.com

London assembly proceedings came to a dramatic close yesterday when mayor Ken Livingstone lost his temper under persistent questioning by conservative members and others about his aide Lee Jasper’s involvement in the London Development Agency (LDA) decision-making.

‘Clearly the six police investigations, the questions that the assembly keeps asking and the close scrutiny of the press are all starting to get to the mayor, Richard Barnes, conservative group leader,’ told 24dash.com.

‘He’s lived his political life casting himself as some kind of Robin Hood. Well, I think, as it becomes clear that this is just a cynical act, Londoners will begin to see the power-hungry primadonna that he really is.

‘And still we wait for straight answers from Ken Livingstone on the London Development Agency and Lee Jasper.’
