Nitin Joshi, director of
Channelmoney,
said the year had started in the same way as 2007 had ended. “We have already
advised three channel players into liquidation, including Letrex Ltd and
Webmaster Internet’ional and are in the process of advising a number of other
company directors.”
Bromley-based reseller Maxi Million has also ceased trading. The VAR was an HP
business partner and sold PCs, printers and components in the education and
corporate sectors.
Rod Butcher, partner at corporate recovery specialist
Butcher
Woods, said the firm had entered voluntary liquidation. “A creditors’
meeting has now been scheduled for Monday 28 January in Hertfordshire,” he
added.
Mark Ancell, head of intelligence at credit agency
Graydon,
said: “On Friday 11 January, the directors took action and placed the company
into voluntary liquidation. The reason cited was poor trading.”
Joshi added: “Maxi Million is one of about four channel players going down every
week. Company directors should seek advice quickly rather than carrying on when
they know their business is insolvent.”
