CIMA pioneers Islamic finance certificate

CIMA’s Cert IF pioneers a global qualification for staff working in the Islamic financial services industry

Written by AccountancyAge.com

CIMA’s certificate in Islamic finance (Cert IF) is the first global qualification to focus on the fast growing sector of Islamic finance.

The certificate is aimed at staff currently working within the Islamic financial services industry and those entering this sector. It is designed to give professionals two significant market advantages – the professional recognition of a CIMA international qualification and demonstrable expertise in the complex, fast growing world of Islamic finance.

Cert IF is expected to give comprehensive skills in key areas such as Shari'ah compliance and the complexities of the contracts which underpin this compliance. Students will also develop confidence in using the terminology and applying the knowledge which set Islamic finance apart from conventional finance.

The certificate has four compulsory study modules and is a self study, distance learning qualification, available for study across the globe.
