PwC administrators called in at AIM-listed company

Written by AccountancyAge.com

PricewaterhouseCoopers administrators Nick Cropper, Colin Haig, Mike Jervis and Stephen Oldfield have been called to run DVD, computer games and CD distributor ChoicesUK.

The four were called after the AIM-listed Peterborough-based company was placed in administration yestereday (22 August).

ChoicesUK employs over 600 full-time and 1,100 part-time staff across its distribution businesses and within its 162 stores throughout the UK.

Nick Cropper said: 'ChoicesUK, like much of the UK packaged entertainment sector, has suffered from price deflation in the market, driven by reduced consumer rental activity, piracy and technological advances.

He said the priority was to continue to trade the businesses and try and save the business.
