Recruitment in accounting and finance in the UK is still healthy if the latest figures released by headhunter Michael Page are anything to go by.
Reporting interim results for the six months to June 2007, Michael Page said that gross profit from its UK finance and accounting business had climbed by 14% over the six months to the end of June 2007 when compared with the same period in 2006.
Turnover from its global accounting and finance operations were also up, rising from £197m at the 2006 interim stage to £240m over the 2007 period.
Total interim earnings climbed by 26% from £312m in 2006 to £395m in 2007.
