While those applying to join global finance and business services companies may be brimming with technical know-how, many lack fundamental skills, such as teamwork, managing client relationships, customer services, business awareness, problem solving and achievement orientation skills. Ironically, firms are less concerned with graduates possessing technical skills, as these can be trained.
