E&Y still looking for Fopp buyers

Six stores bought by HMV Group

Written by AccountancyAge.com

Ernst & Young, the receiver for music store chain Fopp, has found a buyer for six shops in the chain, after the HMV Group stepped in.

However another 75 sites are still up for grabs and according to reports, it is uncertain whether E&Y has found buyers.

A spokeswoman for Ernst & Young said it was still marketing the remaining shops, including Fopp's flag-ship store on London's Tottenham Court Road, but said the outlets would not be sold as a going concern.
