Xansa signs £19m NHS deal for accounting services

Xansa secures six-year deal to provide accounting and payroll services for NHS

Xansa has sealed a £19m, six-year contract to provide finance and accounting and payroll services to NHS Professionals, the Special Health Authority which provides high quality flexible staff to NHS organisations.

According to Xansa, the contract will provide over £5m of cost savings. The service will be delivered from Tingley in Leeds, where both NHS Shared Business Services and NHS Professionals’ National Finance Centre are located. The operation will also be run from Southampton and Pune in India.

Andy Leary, director of finance, NHS Professionals said: 'This contract will help us to move forward with the strategic development of NHS Professionals

Peter Coates, deputy director of finance in the department of health, said: 'This contract brings together two key members of the NHS family to realise cost savings and allow more doctors, nurses and clinical staff to concentrate on patient care.'

In another coup for Xansa, the company also announced a £100m deal with Co-operative Financial Services . The contract will run for five years. Xansa will work with CFS to create a unified application development and support service across the whole of the business.
