Detective Superintendent Willie Prendergast said he remained optimistic of solving the mystery, but admitted: 'This has been one of the most frustrating inquiries I have dealt with. Officers have investigated more than 1300 lines of inquiry and taken more than 300 statements.'

Andrew, who will be 53 next month, was with his partner Beverley on the night he disappeared. The couple had left the Quo Vadis pub in Paisley Road West shortly after 7pm and went into G101 Off Sales before walking towards their Berryknowes Road home. He was then abducted and there have been no sightings of him since.
