Eighteen students from Ernst & Young’s accountancy degree programme – offered by the University of Lancaster - are getting a taste of life in the real world, the firm has revealed.
The students are one month into a three month placement at Ernst & Young offices across the UK– from London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh – as part of the four-year sandwich degree.
They have joined the firm at one of the busiest times of the year for auditors – the end of the reporting season.
Ernst & Young degree student, Ben Dickinson, who is completing his placement at the firm’s London office said: ‘I wanted to distinguish myself from other graduates and the opportunity to combine academic study, work placement and a fast-track to chartered accountancy qualification was not to be missed.'
