Budget 06: Business investment outstrips inflation

The chancellor said Britain is expected to attract business investment from abroad of £126bn by 2008

Gordon Brown said that business investment has been growing at 5% a year since 1997, outstripping inflation. Whereas investment was at £77bn in 1997, it is now £113bn, and will grow at 4.5-5.25% during 2007 and 2008.
