Top Bank of Ireland Mortgages management accountant scoops Barbados holiday prize

Top young accountant Kevin Murphy will be swapping his computer screen for the sun and sand of Barbados after winning a New Management Accountant of the Year award.

Murphy, a strategic implementation manager with Bank of Ireland Mortgages, beat off opposition from the UK and Ireland to win the HW Harrison Willis and CIMA sponsored award.

He combined strong commercial and communication skills with pure technical ability to claim the trip for two.

The panel of judges included Chris Herrmannsen HW Group managing director, the parent company of HW Harrison Willis, CIMA president David Melvill and Cadbury Schweppes finance director David Kappler.
