Counsel for three former NatWest bankers fighting extradition to America by the Enron Task Force has derided the US request as a 'British means to an American end'.

Alun Jones QC told the court that the motive for extradition had less to do with the men's alleged embezzlement of $20m from NatWest than US authorities' desire to get the trio to implicate people in the Enron scandal, The Guardian reported.
